Sports Day

The Primary sack race

Our Primary and Secondary students had a fantastic time at their school sports days this week.

Despite the rain and a few delays, the energy and excitement for Sports Day was stronger than ever! On Monday afternoon, our Foundation and Primary students kicked off the festivities with incredible enthusiasm and displayed sportsmanship throughout the event. Primary students participated in a range of fun and challenging events, including the tennis ball throw, sack race, egg and spoon race, and many more. Each of the teams gave it their all, and the competition was fierce. It was neck and neck right up to the final few races! In a thrilling finish, the Black Team clinched victory by just a single point, earning them well-earned gold medals. But in true sporting spirit, every student was a winner.

On Tuesday afternoon with the weather on side. Secondary students engaged with a fully packed itinerary which included: javelin, shot put, relay, long distance race and many others. The competition was intense, with all five teams separated by just six points – one of the closest finishes we’ve seen! In a dramatic twist, both the Yellow and Blue teams finished tied at 45 points, leading to a thrilling tiebreaker event. In the deciding race, Alex from Yellow and Erik from Blue went head-to-head in a tense finale. By the slimmest of margins, Yellow Team came out on top to claim the gold! Despite the fierce competition, the entire day was marked by outstanding sportsmanship, encouragement, and team spirit.

Huge congratulations to all the participants in our sports days – you made the day a true celebration of athletic effort and the school community.
