A successful DofE Expedition

Group of four students with ruck sacks on walking through a forest

Despite a very wet and rainy start on Thursday morning, our Duke of Edinburgh Bronze Award participants showed great determination and resilience as they set off on their expedition. Working in teams, students successfully navigated their planned routes, demonstrating excellent map-reading, communication, and problem-solving skills throughout the day.

Upon returning to school, students put their teamwork skills into practice by setting up their tents on the school field before preparing and cooking their evening meal over the fire pit. The evening provided a fantastic opportunity for students to develop their independence and enjoy the rewards of their hard work.

The following morning, students packed away their tents and equipment before completing the final stage of their expedition with a navigation exercise into Windsor. To celebrate the successful completion of their DofE Bronze Award expedition, students enjoyed a well-deserved visit to McDonald's. We are incredibly proud of all participants for their perseverance, teamwork, and positive attitude throughout the expedition.
