School open as normal Friday 26 June 2026

We are aware that a weather warning remains in place; however, school will be open as normal tomorrow.
The decision to remain open has been carefully considered, taking into account the welfare, education and wellbeing of our students.
We will be taking steps throughout the day to keep students as cool and comfortable as possible, including making use of shaded areas, encouraging regular hydration, and adapting activities where necessary.
As tomorrow is a single school day before the weekend, when students will have the opportunity to rest and recover from the heat, we feel it is important to maintain continuity of learning. We are also keen for students to return to the classroom environment and benefit from the social interaction and routine that school provides.
To help us keep everyone safe in the hot weather, please ensure your child:
- Arrives at school wearing sunscreen (applied before they leave home)
- Brings a sun hat or cap
- Has a refillable water bottle with them so they can stay hydrated throughout the day
Of course, we respect that parents know their children best and understand that some families may decide to keep their child at home. If you choose to do so, please ensure that you notify the school via Arbor in the usual way.
Thank you for your continued support and understanding.
