Bournemouth Beach Field Trip

Mercury class enjoyed an exciting educational trip to Bournemouth last week – successfully avoiding the current heat wave! The trip combined both geography and science learning.
During the visit, pupils explored the Oceanarium, discovering a variety of marine habitats and learning about ocean conservation and ecosystems. They also investigated coastal features along Bournemouth Beach, observing how natural processes shape the coastline and putting their knowledge of rocks into action by identifying the different rocks they could see.

Students had time to socialise, play football on the beach, and enjoy a well-earned fish and chips lunch before finishing the day with a visit to Bournemouth Pier. It was a fantastic opportunity to bring classroom learning to life while creating wonderful memories together.
