Adventure Play at Windsor Great Park

Foundation had a fantastic day exploring Windsor Great Park and the Adventure Play area. The visit gave the children lots of opportunities to learn, explore and challenge themselves outside the classroom.

At Adventure Play, the children developed their gross motor skills through climbing, balancing and exploring unfamiliar equipment. They showed confidence in taking appropriate risks and practised important social skills such as cooperating, taking turns and being kind and encouraging to their friends.

As we explored Windsor Great Park, the children showed great resilience, continuing to walk even when they were beginning to feel a little tired! We enjoyed experiencing nature first-hand, searching for minibeasts, looking at the enormous trees and spotting signs that autumn is beginning.

The children particularly loved the freedom to explore, challenge themselves and enjoy being outdoors together. It was a wonderful day full of learning, friendship and fun!
