All of our new level 2 students demonstrated excellent skills during a practical assessment for their Level 2 Food Production and Cookery City & Guilds programme. We were very impressed by the professional and positive approach they took.
Students (and staff!) enjoyed taking part in Jeans for Genes Day, wearing jeans to school in return for a small donation.
Families and visitors returning at the start of term will have noticed a real change! Not only has our logo and branding been refreshed to align more closely with Cavendish Education, but over the summer we have also undertaken a huge programme of improvement and refurbishment.
Heatherfest, our end of year celebration, had a carnival theme this year. There were games and stalls, bouncy castles, face painting, balloon modelling and an ice cream van, as well as performances and lots of awards.

It has been another busy and engaging term in PSHE across the school, with students exploring a range of important topics that support their personal development, wellbeing, and understanding of the world around them.
A group of pupils from Elm Class and Secondary recently attended a creative workshop at Busy Buttons Windsor, where they made an entry for the children's display at the Windsor Flower Show. The theme this year was Mycelium: the Hidden Threads of Magic.
Computer Science has continued to be a popular and engaging subject this term, with students developing their programming, computational thinking and problem-solving skills through a range of practical activities. Lessons encourage students to break down complex problems, design algorithms and write programs that solve real-world challenges, helping them develop valuable skills that will support them both in further study and future careers.
Nine talented students from Oak Class and Elm Class attended the spectacular Junior Music Festival at the Hexagon Theatre in Reading.
Mercury class enjoyed an exciting educational trip to Bournemouth last week – successfully avoiding the current heat wave! The trip combined both geography and science learning.
