Apple's incredible Reading Tree

A photo of Apple classes Term 1 reading tree - a big picture of a tree with 36 books stuck to it

Over the past year, our Foundation students in Apple Class have read and explored an incredible 161 books, spanning a wide range of genres and styles - from imaginative fantasy and poetry to inspiring biographies and informational texts.

Encountering such a variety has not only boosted their reading confidence, but also expanded their horizons, introducing them to new topics, cultures, and ideas. This rich literary diet has sparked their imaginations, helping their young minds visualise vivid worlds and develop creative thinking. Moreover, through engaging with diverse characters and situations, our readers are building empathy, understanding others’ experiences and emotions more deeply. Together, this journey in reading has made our students stronger, more curious, and more connected learners.
