Earth and Stars develop skills for life

Earth Classes Halloween party food display which includes cup cakes, marshamallow teeth and filled grape eye balls.

The students in Earth and Stars class had great fun learning important life skills - and enjoyed some very nice treats!

Earth class students have been busy preparing Halloween-themed party food! They planned and purchased ingredients, identified the equipment needed, and followed recipes to make delicious spider cupcakes and mummy sausage rolls, practising cooking skills such as mixing, cutting and baking. They worked together to decorate the table!

Meanwhile, the students in Star Class enjoyed making use of our local community by visiting the local bakery. The students prepared themselves independently and walked to the bakery, following all road safety rules along the way.

Once at the bakery, the students took turns looking at the goods on offer before confidently placing their orders with the staff. It was a fantastic opportunity for the students to develop their independence, communication and community skills.
