Celebrating VE day

To mark Victory in Europe (VE) Day students took part in a brilliant immersive World War II workshop.
Led by an actor playing Private Samuel Barter, students were taken on a journey through wartime Britain — from the front line to the home front. Through real artefacts, role-play, storytelling, and song, students explored what life was like for soldiers and civilians during this pivotal time in history.
They learnt about the Blitz, experienced what it was like to be evacuated, and heard personal stories of bravery and sacrifice from across Britain and the Commonwealth.
The hands-on learning really brought the past to life.
