Students have been working hard in their Catering lessons this term. We are really proud of their achievements. Older pupils have been working towards their Level 2 qualifications whilst younger ones have been focusing on key skills to ensure they are safe and confident in the kitchen.
Key Stage 4
Throughout the Level 2 food production and cookery qualification, students need to achieve various units. One unit is presenting and making salads and sandwiches.
Some of the students made wraps, rolls, sandwiches and toasties for assessments on this unit. They ensured they presented them correctly.
Oak class has just started to do cooking lessons in the catering room. They have been focusing on health, safety and hygiene. They have also been learning how to spread and cut and they each made a cheese sandwich each, which they enjoyed.
