Birdworld
Willow class had a wonderful trip to Birdworld to compliment their Science topic on "Animals, Including Humans," which focusses on classifying and grouping animals. See our Birdworld Gallery for more photos of the day.
Leading up to the trip, students researched the various birds they would encounter, learning about their habitats, diets, and special characteristics. They also linked this to map skills, planning the fastest and most efficient route through the park, using a 'birds-eye view.'
The students thoroughly enjoyed exploring the different species, especially watching the penguins being fed. Despite the drizzly weather, the smiles on their faces said it all—a truly memorable experience!
